Please find below an information letter to provide you with everything you need to know about Sunflower Class for you to enable your child to settle well into the next term. Also to enable you to be aware and become involved with your child's learning there is a curriculum balloon which informs you of the learning your child will be completing over the next two terms as well as some home learning where you can help support your child at home.

OUTDOOR LEARNING

Today we had fun during our Outdoor Learning time. We worked together to make dens and then enjoyed hot chocolate made from our new Ghillie kettle on the fire.

Maths Fun!

Today we enjoyed learning about doubles in maths. First of all we played a counting game to practice counting in twos. Then we completed a practical task in partners to calculate the doubles to 20 using multi-link.

Programming Beebots

Today in our computing lesson we initially spent time exploring how to turn on and instruct the Beebots to go forwards, backwards, left and right. While doing this we learned which buttons we needed to press to make the Beebot move.

We were then given the challenge to programme our Beebots to find and move to  different animals on our Beebots grids.

Autumn Days

Today in our English lesson week went outside to use our senses to explore the signs of Autumn to help us prepare for our Autumn poem writing. Look at the fund we had!

The Holy Trinity

Today we were learning about what Christians believe about God. As part of this lesson we learned about the Holy Trinity.

To help us begin to remember we made doves, a symbol of the Holy Spirit and three leaf clovers to remind us of the three parts of the Holy Trinity.
