Welcome to Mells First School.

We are delighted that your child has been offered a place at our school and that you have accepted the place. Please find below a range of information that will help you understand the process of starting school and how we can best support you during our induction process.  Letters will be sent out confirming transition dates shortly.

 There are some resources below that can be viewed in the meantime and we are always available to answer any questions either on the phone or via email.

Dates for your diary

Parent / Carer meet and Greet on 16th June at Mells School 9.30-10.30am

Nursery visits - 11th May, 5th June, 11th June

1st transition independent session - 1st July 9.45 - 11.45am

2nd transition independent session - 15th July 9.45 - 1pm with a picnic from 12pm for all our intake parents/carers (please bring own picnic)

The start of term is Monday 7th September 2026 at 8.40am
