We love to write...
Bluebell Class have been busy researching and writing. We can't wait to share it with you!
Corn Dollies for Harvest
We learnt all about the tradition of making corn dollies and then had a go at making our own out of pipe cleaners and felt. We can't wait to show them off at our Harvest Festival next week.
Sports
We spent a lovely, though a little damp, morning at Oakfield taking part in a variety of sports activities, We all had great fun and were great ambassadors for our school.
Earthquake Safe Houses
Bluebell class had fantastic fun designing our own earthquake safe houses. We spent time learning about the cause of earthquakes and then looked at the damage they can do. We explored innovative building techniques that engineers around the world are using to protect buildings and then had a go at designing our own. I think we have some future engineers in our midst. What do you think?
Art- plein air
We have been making the most of our wonderful outside space to practise our drawing techniques. With a specific focus on tone.
Amazing home learning!
The Art of Drawing
We have some fantastic artists in Bluebell Class. We have been learning about adding tone to our sketches through various techniques. We have also looked at the incredible drawings of hair by artist Hong Chun Zhang and will be recreating our own in the coming weeks.
When I grow up...
We have big dreams in Bluebell Class!
