UH OH! Santa's on Strike
Years 2, 3 and 4 have worked so hard on their performance of Santa's on Strike. Santa has been watching too many reruns of Supernanny and has decided that children are bad, so he is not delivering any presents this year. Luckily, his trusty elves and Mrs Claus are on hand to take him on a journey with the World-Wide-View Satellite to see some children who are kind, giving, caring and sharing. We are all so proud of the hard work you have put in Bluebells, wonderful singing, expressive acting and all round good fun!
Happy Christmas Everyone!
Poetry
We have been exploring poetry from Kate Wakeling's Cloud Soup. We have been performing it and had a go at writing our own.
Skateboarding Super Stars
Bluebell Class were so lucky to experience a morning of skateboarding. Some of us were a bit nervous but everyone soon settled into it and were surprised by what they could achieve.
Liberty Gymnastics
What a fantastic morning we had at Liberty Gymnastics! We got to try 11 different activities using the bars, beams, tumble tracks, and floor space. Everyone pushed themselves out of their comfort zones and demonstrated such support and encouragement towards each other.
We will remember...
Bluebell Class made poppies and learnt all about why we wear them. We explored the history of these little symbols of remembrance and learnt all about children's experiences of war. On Tuesday 11th November we visited the village war memorial where we we talked about the words engraved on it, listened to a poem and said some prayers.
Super Science
We have been busy learning all about the human body in science. We have been exploring the human skeleton and had great fun identifying and measuring the bones.
I wonder what it's like to be a bird....
We have been working hard creating our own book all about the wonderful world of birds and their very special talents. Check out our writing. We are all very proud of it.

Sports
We spent a lovely, though a little damp, morning at Oakfield taking part in a variety of sports activities, We all had great fun and were great ambassadors for our school.
Earthquake Safe Houses
Bluebell class had fantastic fun designing our own earthquake safe houses. We spent time learning about the cause of earthquakes and then looked at the damage they can do. We explored innovative building techniques that engineers around the world are using to protect buildings and then had a go at designing our own. I think we have some future engineers in our midst. What do you think?
Art- plein air
We have been making the most of our wonderful outside space to practise our drawing techniques. With a specific focus on tone.
Amazing home learning!
The Art of Drawing
We have some fantastic artists in Bluebell Class. We have been learning about adding tone to our sketches through various techniques. We have also looked at the incredible drawings of hair by artist Hong Chun Zhang and will be recreating our own in the coming weeks.
When I grow up...
We have big dreams in Bluebell Class!
